[:en]Professor Churchwell studies topics relating to American culture and literature from 1890 to the present.
Her research focuses on cultural discourse, especially recovering lost contexts. In particular, her
topics include a rhetorical history of the phrases “American Dream” and “America First.” She will be presenting research from her recent book, “ Behold, America: A History of America First and the American Dream,” with some relevance to the upcoming general elections in the United States.
