Important update on January return, teaching and University services

We wrote to you this week to update you on changes to in-person teaching and the return to campus for the start of term.

We have had to make some very rapid changes in light of the continuing pandemic, so we are writing to you again to ensure there is clarity for all our students on the current situation.

Swansea University will commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day on Wednesday 27th January 2021, online via Zoom from 11 am until 12 pm.

This year’s theme for Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) is Be the Light in the Darkness. It encourages everyone to reflect on the depths humanity can sink to, but also the ways individuals and communities resisted that darkness to ‘be the light’ before, during and after the genocide. (more…)

Criminals are using the COVID-19 vaccine as a way to target the public by tricking them to hand over cash or financial details.

They are sending convincing-looking text messages letting people know they are eligible for the vaccine or phoning people directly pretending to be from the NHS, or local pharmacy.
