We’re delighted to have teamed up with Welsh Cycling (part of British Cycling) and would like to invite staff and students to apply to become Ride Leaders for the University.

We are looking for 10 Ride Leaders in total. You don’t need to be an expert, or a competitive rider; just someone who has enthusiasm and wants to support beginner riders.

What Does this Involve?
As a Ride Leader, all you have to do is organise 8 rides a year and place them on the ‘Lets Ride’ website www.letsride.co.uk. This could be as simple as cycling to work in the morning or cycling between Singleton and the Bay; or going for a lunch time ride.

What’s In It For Me?
As a Ride Leader for the University, you will receive:

  • 1 day’s full training as a Ride Leader
  • First aid training
  • Official Ride Leader kit
  • InsuranceBecoming a Ride Leader is really rewarding. Not only do you get to meet new people and make new friends, but you also get to be part of something positive for the local community and the environment.

If you would like to become a Ride leader and you are  available to attend on the 10th of October for a full days training and assessment  and the 24th for half a day for the First Aid Training  please contact: Jayne Cornelius –  j.cornelius@swansea.ac.uk
