£250 Apple AirPods Pro prize draw for participants!

The British Universities’ International Liaison Association (BUILA) together with the British Council are conducting research to investigate the following:

  • How you as an international student sourced information about studying overseas.
  • How UK universities can make information about studying in the UK more accessible.
  • How the COVID-19 pandemic affected how you accessed information, and impacted your decision making and your thoughts about studying overseas.

If you are currently studying at a university in the UK at Undergraduate or Postgraduate level, we would like to invite you to participate in this very important research through a series of Focus Group Discussions via Microsoft Teams.

Who are we looking for? If you are an international student (from the countries listed below) currently in the first year of a higher education course in the UK at undergraduate or postgraduate level we would really welcome your participation.

We welcome participants from: India | Nigeria | China | Pakistan | Saudi | UAE | Europe – France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece | Hong Kong | Malaysia | Indonesia | USA

The Focus Group Discussions will be conducted via Zoom and moderated by professional facilitators from BUILA and the British Council. All information you give us will be anonymous and the focus groups should take a maximum of one and a half hours.

All participants will be put into a prize draw for a new pair of Apple AirPods Pro worth £250.

Please use this form to register your interest.

Please submit your questions to Paulina@buila.ac.uk

Thank You.

Not good support to international students, especially those attending International Year One at the College. For example, the fees wrongly paid to the College will need to apply for refund and pay again to the University.

    • Student Communications Officer says:

      Hi there

I’m sorry to hear this. I have forwarded your comment on to The College and requested that someone get back to you.

It is a shame you are excluding students from many countries in Africa.

Please can you provide a valid reason for the exclusion.

Or are only some international students important?

    • Student Partnership and Engagement Manager says:

Hello, we are advertising this focus group on behalf of the British Universities’ International Liaison Association and British Council, I have fed your concerns back to the organisers and asked for a response at the earliest opportunity.

  • Ignacio Fernandez Oliva says:

International students mislead to believe there was to be any international experience and after quarantining, you then informed it was to be an online subscription: accommodation was not a MUST for that, but you made your money by misleading students
ALREADY WITHDRAWN FROM SWANSE but you still have asked to pay for accommodation never even started

    • Student Communications Coordinator says:

Thank you for getting in touch. The Student Opinion Panel has already taken place which was on the 28th of April. Although we are sorry to hear this and we’ll make sure this information is fed back. Thank you.
