Covid-19 Vaccine for 18–25-year-olds
The Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB) has advised the University that the automatic scheduling of Covid-19 vaccines for 18–25-year-olds will take place over the coming weeks (end May/early June).
Eligibility for the vaccine applies equally to domestic and international students.
Please carefully read the following information to ensure you receive notification of your Covid-19 vaccine appointment.
First Dose
- If you are currently living in the Swansea Bay area and not at your ‘home’ address, you must be registered with a local GP practice in the SBUHB area to receive notification of your Covid-19 vaccine appointment locally.
- You can also join a Covid-19 vaccine reserve list but to do so, you must be registered with a local GP practice in the SBUHB area. - If you are currently registered at a GP practice in another part of Wales, it is likely that you will be contacted by the local Health Board responsible for that area who will schedule your vaccine appointment to take place there.
- If you are currently registered with a GP practice in England, you will be contacted by the local Health Board responsible for that area who will schedule your vaccine appointment to take place there.
When you attend your first dose appointment, you must ensure that you provide a current mobile telephone number as the system will generate a reminder text to ensure that you receive notification of your second dose appointment.
Second Dose
Your second dose of the Covid-19 vaccination will be due 12 weeks after your first dose. If you change address during this period you must register with a GP practice that is local to where you will be living at the time otherwise you may not receive your appointment letter.
