We will be marking the efforts and achievements of all students who are finishing their degree this summer with virtual celebrations on 28 July. The online event can be accessed here.
These virtual celebrations are not a replacement for a formal graduation ceremony, which you will still have at a later date. In the meantime, we want to ensure that everyone can celebrate their achievements and for us to congratulate you on your success.
In 2020, we made the difficult decision to postpone our traditional graduation ceremonies owing to the coronavirus pandemic. However, we recognise the significance and importance of in-person graduation ceremonies as an opportunity for you to celebrate your achievements with family, friends, and University staff, and we remain committed to ensuring ceremonies are rearranged at a time when is safe for large scale events such as these to resume. We are currently planning for graduation ceremonies to take place in 2022, which will be subject to government guidance and public health advice at that time.
Students have been sent a graduation survey regarding plans for rearranging the in-person ceremonies and the survey will be active from 21 July 2021 to 9 August 2021. We would be grateful if you could complete the survey as your feedback will be taken into consideration as we prepare to reschedule the ceremonies.
We would urge you to check that your personal contact details are up to date so that we can keep you informed of any developments.
