Oriel Science is delighted to announce that its new city centre venue at 21-22 Castle Street will be open to the public from Wednesdays to Sundays, 10am to 4pm throughout the summer school holidays. We also will be holding talks from our exhibitor-researchers every Wednesdays in our Oriel Science Summer Café.
We have 30 exhibits showcasing our University’s research, with something for all ages. Learn how you can burn water with the Hydrogen bike, see some of the University’s amazing responses to the Covid pandemic including a ventilator designed and built in 10 days, ponder how an acoustic levitator can suspend particles right in front of you using only air, and play with our augmented reality sandbox. You can even drive the Racing Engineering Team’s open wheeler car around a virtual track and see how far up on the leader board you get.
If you are looking for somewhere to take your kids over the school holidays, look no further.
We look forward to seeing you at our venue, just up from Castle Square.
Best wishes from the Oriel Science Team.
