We are looking forward to welcoming you onto campus soon, so that you can enjoy the wider student experience that both Swansea and the University have to offer.
We continue to recognise that it might be difficult for you to get to Swansea due to travel restrictions or covid-related issues. The recent change to UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) regulations means that if you are unable to travel to the UK by the start of term, you can enrol and engage with your programme online and then join us as soon as you are able to. Once you arrive you will then move to in-person learning and teaching or research. You must arrive by 6 April 2022 under the regulations, but we very much hope that you will be able to join us much sooner to allow you to participate in all that we have to offer at the University in-person.
There are a small number of Chemistry and Engineering programmes where it is not possible to engage online for more than a few weeks. Professional programmes in Medicine and Nursing will require you to be here in-person from the programme start date. Please also remember that you may need to include a quarantine period of 10 days into your schedule prior to your in-person start. You are advised to contact your School for confirmation if you are unsure if you can start your programme online or not.
Quarantine
As you may be aware, there have been several recent changes by the UK and Welsh Governments relating to quarantine requirements upon arrival to the UK from or via Red, Amber and Green listed countries.
Please carefully read the information in the links provided above to see how these quarantine requirements affect you and to see how the University will support you during this time here.
Please ensure that you notify myunisupport@swansea.ac.uk of your travel arrangements ahead of travelling to the UK. The MyUniSupport team are here to offer you help, guidance and advice both prior to and during your quarantine.
If you have not yet received your vaccine, you will be able to access them for free once you have registered with a doctor.
For more information on how to enrol at Swansea University please visit our dedicated web pages.
We look forward to welcoming you to Swansea!

Hello
my name is Jintao, my student number is 2003159, and I am studying for a master’s degree in management in January 2021.
I want to know whether a student like me needs to enter the UK compulsorily for the last semester, or whether I can continue to apply for online learning to complete the last semester
Regards
Jintao
