Catherine Launder is a PhD student from the Centre of Innovative Ageing and she is seeking participants from the following groups to take part in her research.

  • Older people, aged 65 years and over, who have been discharged home from hospital within the previous 18 months.
  • Kin/ non-kin carers (aged 18 and over) of older people, aged 65 years and over, who have been discharged home from hospital within the previous 18 months.

(A kin / non-kin carer is someone who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of illness, frailty, or disability, and who cannot cope without their support)

Catherine requests that you to take part in a semi-structured interview by telephone or videoconference i.e Zoom. This should last a maximum of 90 minutes and will be a discussion of what your information expectations and needs were at the time of discharge. Interviews can be carried out only in English.

This research has been approved by the Department of Psychology Research Ethics Committee College of Human and Health Sciences, Swansea University.
