As you know, we had to make difficult decisions during the past 18 months in order to keep people safe during the pandemic; this included postponing the 2020 and 2021 graduation ceremonies until it was safe to reschedule, in line with Welsh Government guidance. We made a commitment to you to rearrange the ceremonies in order to give you the opportunity to attend an in-person congregation to celebrate all of your hard work and achievements with your peers, family and friends.
We have great pleasure in announcing that our rescheduled Class of 2020 ceremonies will take place between Monday 4th and Thursday 7th April 2022 in the new Swansea Arena, which is located next to Swansea Marina and beachfront.
We will release the full timetable of ceremonies in due course and you will be emailed an invitation to register your attendance for your ceremony before the end of January 2022.
Our rescheduled Class of 2021 ceremonies will take place in July 2022 in the new Swansea Arena.
We will release exact dates and the full timetable of ceremonies at a future time and you will be emailed an invitation to register your attendance for your ceremony.
In the meantime, any further updates will be posted on the University’s graduation web pages.
Please note that our graduation ceremonies are subject to any Welsh Government restrictions that may be in place at that time. For that reason, we recommend that you take this into consideration should you need to arrange flights and/or hotel bookings. Should coronavirus, or any other unforeseen circumstances, compromise the safety of our graduates and their guests at the ceremonies, we will carefully review the situation, follow advice from the various authorities and communicate our plans with you as quickly as possible. We will notify you of the safety measures for the ceremonies closer to the event as these will reflect Welsh Government guidance at that time.
Please note that in the event that the graduation ceremonies are cancelled or delayed, or the ceremonies are rescheduled (to include date, time and/or venue) due to circumstances beyond the control of Swansea University, the University will not be liable for any losses direct or otherwise incurred by the graduates or their guests.
We look forward to sharing your day with you.

Hi how many tickets will each graduate be able to have for guests for the Swansea arena ceremony
Hi Rachel, students are usually issued with tickets for two guests. More information will be emailed to eligible graduates by the end of the month for booking and ticket allocation once Covid guidelines have been reviewed on venue capacity. Thank you!
I have not received my graduation invite today to book tickets etc. I am due to graduate July
Hello Louise! We shall look into this and will contact you directly via your student email address. Thank you
