Timetables have now been released for teaching block two and we can confirm teaching will commence as planned. As stated last term, there will be more face-to-face in person teaching and more opportunities to engage with other students in academic environments.
All students are expected to return to campus in January to engage with in-person teaching provision and research, however a small exception has been made for our international students, where their programmes allow, who are unable to travel to Swansea. International students who are not able to travel to Swansea are advised to get here as soon as they possibly can and no later than the 6th April.
Welsh Government believe education is a priority and expects education settings to be operating and providing access to in-person education with appropriate risk assessments and mitigations in place. We have therefore increased face-to-face teaching whilst ensuring health and safety guidelines are in place to protect our students and staff.
These measures include:
If a student or member of staff has a medical condition or disability and is exempt from wearing a face covering or mask, they can choose to wear a sunflower lanyard, carry an exemption card or download a digital exemption onto a mobile phone
For students who are clinically vulnerable, please contact myunisupport@swansea.ac.uk to speak to a team member who will be able to support you with any concerns.
Areas have been prioritised and locations will be made available.
Our Libraries are currently open with health and safety measures in place and are continuously being assessed so we can offer students the best service possible within Welsh Government guidelines. Other than the Library buildings, there are a number of spaces at the Bay and Singleton Park Campus you can use for informal study purposes.
In line with University regulations, you must notify MyUniSupport@swansea.ac.uk if you test positive for Covid-19. If you have any concerns you can also contact the MyUniSupport team for more information.
