Happy St David's Day text on daffodil and dragon backgroundThis year there will be a celebration of the Patron Saint of Wales – St David – on campus as well as online for staff and students. St David’s Day is celebrated each year on the 1st of March and this year we are extending the celebrations right through to Friday 4th of March where we will have Diwrnod ♥ Cymru Day – a celebration of Welsh music, food and culture.

What’s On?

Tuesday 1st of March will see Fulton House and the Great Hall lit up in Red, White and Green to mark St David’s Day with the colours of the Welsh flag.

Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th of March there are free Welsh taster sessions run online and on campus so why not give learning Welsh a go!

Diwrnod ♥ Cymru Day – Friday 4th of March

Join us on Singleton Campus between 12-2pm, Friday 4th of March, in front of Fulton House where you can:

  • Hear more about Wales- Learn about Welsh history and culture and pick up a Tregroes Waffle for free
  • Listen to Welsh Music- Band Pres Llareggub and the SU Choral Society will be live on campus
  • Learn about our Student Societies- Meet the Welsh student societies
