Female students in busWe hope you’re settling (back) into life on campus. Here are some top travel tips from your Sustainable Travel Officer:

  1. Make sure you apply for My Travel Pass to get 1/3 off all bus travel in Wales! – more info (including eligibility criteria) is online here
  2. Get the First Bus App – buy tickets, check capacity and buy tickets all in one place!
  3. Use mTickets in the app to choose the best ticket/pass option for you – if you’ve applied for My Travel Pass, select ‘with My Travel Pass’
  4. Annual and term time passes may be a good option for you – they cover all First Cymru services and a much bigger area!
  5. You can show you student ID pass to buy cheaper day tickets on the bus (8, 9, 10,  10a, 8a and 4 services, and X1,X5, X7 38 outside Bay Campus to Swansea Bus station). Also show your My Travel Pass to save another third!

Bus services can be really busy, especially at the start of term, so make sure you plan your journey to campus carefully, allowing plenty of time to get there. Everything you need to know about public transport and planning your journey is online here.
