charlesThe 4th July is a very special day for the University as we welcome HRH The Prince of Wales to Swansea to officially open the Bay Campus at the Great Hall.

The day will be marked by a special Gala Concert featuring the BBC National Orchestra of Wales with soloists Elin Manahan Thomas and Thomas Carroll and a reception in the Bay Library.

Before the concert HRH the Prince of Wales will have a short tour of the Bay campus and we encourage our students to come and welcome the Prince by lining the street opposite 52 degrees and Tesco, in front of the School of Management building. We encourage those who wish to attend to be in place by 10.45 or alternatively outside the entrance to the Great Hall at 1.00pm.

We are encouraging all to make their journey to the Bay using public transport on the day.

I believe many students will be joining us for the concert through the Ballot system that was opened a fortnight ago. Although we are now at capacity at the Great Hall we are creating a reserve list for any spaces that come available at short notice leading in to the event. If you would like your name to be included on this reserve list please e mail a.j.pritchard@swansea.ac.uk and tickets will be offered on a first come first served basis.Gala Concert Monday 4 JulyGala Concert Monday 4 July
