Blood donations can be used for so much, from helping mothers and babies during childbirth, supporting cancer patients as they receive chemotherapy, to providing emergency blood donations following accidents and emergencies.

LegalTech is fast becoming a priority for many law firms across the UK, with legal technologies offering higher productivity, lower costs, and more time-efficient results, it is becoming a crucial component in allowing firms to remain competitive in the legal market.

Legal Innovation Lab Wales is providing support to the Welsh legal sector through the exploration of collaborative partnerships, researching legal processes, and developing innovative, LegalTech, solutions.

Swansea University is supporting Carers Week, which runs from 6-12 June this year, with the theme: Making Care Visible and Valued.

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.  (more…)

New Carol Vorderman Maths Access Bursaries will enable nine students to be able to enter higher education at Swansea University with additional financial support.

Carol, who grew up in north Wales in a single parent family and on free school meals, said that “mathematics in Wales changed my world for the better and I want in some way to help those who are trying to do the same.”
