We are conducting a study focused on exploring the impact of exercise and its varying levels of intensity on specific elements of blood coagulation, with particular emphasis on clot microstructure.
Right now, we’re on the lookout for awesome endurance runners who are over 40 years old, love to run regularly, and are in good shape. This involves taking three simple blood tests: one before you run, one right after your run, and one after you’ve had an hour of rest. No need to worry, this research is safe and won’t involve any changes to what you’re already doing.
We’re excited about the potential new insights this study could bring which could be really helpful for people who enjoy running or any intense sports.
When it comes to scheduling, we are available every Thursday, Friday and even during the weekends. (more…)

We are currently recruiting for an ethically approved clinical trial exploring the impact of new injectable insulins and glucose monitoring devices around exercise to control blood glucose levels.
If you have type 1 diabetes, or know someone with the condition, are between 18-65 years old, with a modest physical activity background we would love to hear from you.
Participants would attend our research facility on Singleton Campus on several occasions over the coming months.
We provide an inconvenience allowance for your time and cover reasonable expenses.
For more information, please contact: Professor Richard M Bracken or Mr. Jason Pitt (+44 (0) 7531621978).

We’ve been running a student feedback review to ensure that we’re asking the right questions, at the right time, and on platforms where you want to engage.
After analysing your responses, we’ve come up with some ideas to improve how we engage with you, and we want to know if we’ve got it right! You can take a look at our proposals here.
You can let us know by filling in our online feedback form: Proposal Feedback Form.
We had great participation throughout April & May in our student feedback review events and we’d like to thank all the students who participated!
If you have any further questions regarding the Student Feedback Review, please contact: michael.gubb@swansea.ac.uk or sophie.leslie@swansea.ac.uk
