On Friday 20 October, the University will be the host of a high-profile event focusing on the menopause.

Floods, Sweats and Tears – Swansea University vs The Menopause will highlight the steps we are taking as a University to understand more about the menopause and how we intend to develop our support towards those experiencing menopause symptoms.

The event will see host, Kate Lewis from ITV Wales, engage with Carolyn Harris, MP for Swansea East, to discuss the current menopause landscape across the UK.

We are delighted to say that Dr Louise Newson, who has built up a global audience and reputation via the ‘Dr Louise Newson menopause and perimenopause information podcast’ will also be part of the event.

Swansea University’s Dr Aimee Grant and Dr Rachel Churm will be presenting their findings on their menopause research and there will be discussions on how Swansea University is addressing the menopause via its teaching, training and services. (more…)
