Getonupmain_Taliesin 26 JanWe have two great new films on Wednesday 28 January. At 5.45pm, Northern Soul (15) – a vibrant and authentic portrayal of adolescent escapism in the Northern Soul scene of mid-seventies Lancashire. At 8pm Get on Up (12A) portrays the incredible life story of James Brown, the Godfather of Soul.

If you would like to find out more about these films and to book for films and shows at Taliesin please go to the website at http://www.taliesinartscentre.co.uk/index.php

Remember, we have student ticket prices for films at £5.30. For live events, we have a limited number of tickets for full-time Swansea University students at the very low price of £3. For live stream broadcasts, we have a limited number of standby tickets (at the door) for £5. Excellent value!

Faith week

9th-14th February 2015

Marquee next to Fulton House, Singleton Park, Swansea, SA2 8PP

On behalf of Swansea University faith representatives, I take great pleasure in inviting you to participate in our Faith Week Exhibition 2015, to be held near Fulton House, Swansea University, from 9th  – 14th February 2015.

This year, different faiths are working together with great interest to increase understanding of other faiths.  Different faiths encourage debate which increases knowledge and enriches people’s lives and this event aims to encourage the sharing of information about a diverse range of belief systems. We are confident that this exhibition will bring many faiths together and promote better understanding.

We hope that this will provide a good opportunity for University students, staff, local school children and other community members to participate. We would therefore like to invite you to bring your family and attend to this exhibition.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further information.

We, along with other faith leaders, look forward to welcoming you on the Swansea University campus.
