Nominations for 2015/16 Student Reps for all continuing students will open on Monday 23 March. The schedule will run as follows, with nominations open throughout the duration of the Easter vacation period:

Nominations: 23 March – 15 May

Elections: 18 – 22 May

Students will be able to nominate themselves via MyUni or the Students’ Union webpages. A link will be available from here on Monday

A photo competition this Earth Hour. You can post your photos with lights out and candles lit. Exciting gifts waiting for the winner and runner up.

  5. Wait for the results 🙂

On 28th March, at 8.30pm, Swansea University will be joining forces with thousands of iconic landmarks globally, from The Sydney Harbour Bridge to Times Square in New York, as they show their support.

By Switching off all non-essential lights in your rooms at 8.30pm on 28th March for the hour

The Swansea University Hardship Fund (#SUHF) is currently OPEN for applications!

1. The fund is open to Home and EU students only (i.e. not International Students).

Then you should enter our Santander Competitions

The Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership (IfEL) is running an internal Santander Competition where you can enter and win money for your business ideas.

Enter the Santander Enterprise Competition to be in with a chance of winning a £1000 bursary!

Open to all students with a viable business idea.

Five student businesses will be asked to present their ideas.

The top three will be awarded a £1000 Bursary

Eight £250 bursaries are also available to students who come up with a project or venture creation idea that either benefits the community or is profit making.

All entries must be sent in by the end of May 1st 2015. The results will be revealed in the Final held on May 8th 2015 at 12pm in Grove Building, Room 353.

But that’s not all!

There is also an external competition that the University is involved in.

The 2015 edition of the Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards launched at the end of 2014 with £44,000 of funding up for grabs. If you are interested in this then contact entrepreneurs@swansea.ac.uk now for more information on the competition. All submissions from Swansea University for this external competition need to be submitted by 5pm on March 20th 2015, so we need your submissions as soon as possible.
