For all students who signed up to join the SEA Academy SPIN, WoW and Santander placement programmes in February/March 2016….You must now attend one of the following preparatory Employability Bootcamps (just turn up, no pre-booking necessary).
If you have already attended a Bootcamp (or, when is was ‘Master Class’), you do not need to attend these sessions – you are already being considered for placements this academic year. The first Bootcamp is being held on Monday, 25th April 2016, 6pm – 7.30pm, at the Great Hall (Lecture Theatre GH049), at the Bay Campus. The second is being held on Tuesday, 26th April 2016, 6pm – 7.30pm, in the Faraday Lecture Theatre, on Park Campus. If you have a legitimate reason as to why you cannot attend either Bootcamp, please email workplacements@swansea.ac.uk in advance of the event to be excused and sent the session slides to read in your own time. If you do not turn up, without being excused, you cannot be considered for a work placement unless you reapply next academic year.
SEA Placement Officers deliver these sessions which focus on the ‘do’s and don’ts’ of the work place, to prepare you for placement, as well as providing you with vital information relevant to applying for graduate roles, such as a mock assessment centre exercise.
We may also have some guest speakers for the first time. You do not need to prepare for these sessions. We look forward to meeting you! Questions and queries to workplacements@swansea.ac.uk
