GEW is all about supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and Swansea University has a fantastic programme of events and competitions that YOU can get involved in.

There is something for everyone –

  • Scalextric Challenge – Groups of students managing an F1 scalextric team and using their business skills (in a fun way) to battle it out to make the most profit and win the grand prix. Only 36 places available and we are looking for teams of 3-6 students so if you are looking to use and improve your business skills this competition is for you (https://scalextric-business-challenge.eventbrite.co.uk)
  • Startup Market – Got an amazing business ideas that you want to show off? Book your very own stand to promote it at the Startup Market (https://startup-market.eventbrite.co.uk)
  • £250 Challenge – On top of promoting your business at the Startup Market you can win £250 to kick-start your business! All you have to do is pitch us your idea in 60 seconds and the best ideas get £250 and 4 months trading risk free (https://the-250-challenge.eventbrite.co.uk)
  • Starting a Business & the Legalities of doing it: An expert from the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) will deliver an interactive and engaging talk on protecting business ideas and how to do it.
