In order to undertake some essential maintenance within our plant rooms, Wales National Pool Swansea will be closed from Tuesday 3rd April. We are intending to reopen fully on Monday 16th April although there will be a reduced programme available in the 25m Training Pool from Wednesday 11th April.
Having secured circa £100k of funding Wales National Pool Swansea will be replacing the systems that help control the building’s heating, ventilation, and electrical supplies. In addition, the upgrade will also include replacing the pool’s circulation pipes which feed water to the pools.
Although the upgrade work will not be visible to users of the pool, we will be taking the opportunity to carry out a good spring clean.
Every effort will be made to reduce the impact upon you and we will be back up and running as soon as we can.
For those of you who pay for a membership of the pool then we will be ensuring that you don’t miss out whilst we are closed. For members paying monthly by direct debit your monthly payment will be reduced for April (further information to follow) and for those who pay their fees upfront then we will extend the end date by two weeks.
There will be more information to follow so please keep checking out the website and our social media pages for updates.

Are you a student from a black, Asian or other ethnic minority in the UK? We want to hear what you think about your experience at Swansea University. A focus group for students from UK ethnic minorities will take place on 24 April, between 12:00 and 14:00 with free food. If you would like to take part, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by 16 April.
All views expressed in the focus group will be treated in confidence and you will not be identified individually in any way when the notes from the focus group are summarised. We want you to be honest because our aim is to improve the experience of ethnic minority students at Swansea University.
