Based on the Five Ways to Wellbeing, the Wellbeing Champions will be facilitating a presentation and discussion as to how you can build the five ways to wellbeing into your daily life during StudyAid via Zoom.
Week Four focuses on “Taking Notice” and features Karen Wilson from wellbeing who will lead a 10 minute session. In this event Karen, who is a mindfulness teacher, will be sharing a few words about how and why it can be helpful to take notice, she will then offer a short practice in mindfulness noticing. Students will then discuss ideas and examples of taking notice that they are experiencing at home.

Here’s your chance!
We are currently working with a team of digital transformation consultants from Atos to develop a 10 year Network Strategy for the University. The overall aim is to develop a technical proposal and business case to improve connectivity on and off campus for all staff and students, anytime and anywhere! We’ll be looking at the next 10 years and taking into account all new trends that are impacting us all.
For the Atos team to best understand our current network and internet access, and to gather your thoughts and ideas about improvements and changes you’d like to see made in order to enhance the student experience, we’re hosting a virtual and interactive Student Opinion Panel. If you haven’t taken part in a Student Opinion Panel before and don’t know what it’s all about, you can learn more over on our MyUni webpages.
The Student Opinion panel will take place via Zoom on Friday, 12th June from 11am until 12pm. To book your slot, head over to the booking page, where you can find more information about the consultation.
Further details including the Zoom invite will be communicated to you closer to the time.
Thanks! We’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas.

From the very beginning, sport has played a significant role in student life. Hockey was a popular sport as was rugby – unsurprisingly for a Welsh institution!
In later years, teams made up of staff and students were formed. Fascinating stuff!
