South Wales Police have received reports of indecent exposure in Singleton Park over the last few days. We wish to make all staff and students aware of these incidents and urge people walking through the park alone to be vigilant. We would encourage all staff and students to download our SafeZone App.

Congratulations to our researchers whose research activities have contributed to REF2021 success, and thanks to all colleagues across the university who have contributed to the REF2021 effort!

REF2021 provides a national picture of research quality in Universities across the UK. Swansea was one of 157 UK institutions who participated in REF2021, where quality of published research, wider impact and benefits of research and the quality of the research environment were assessed.

The publication of the Research Excellence Framework 2021 (REF2021) results shows that Swansea University has improved the proportion of its world-leading and internationally excellent research:

  •  86% of our overall research and 91% of our research environment is world-leading and internationally excellent.
  •  86% of our research impact is rated outstanding and very considerable.

Collaboration and co-creation are at the heart of our purposeful approach to research and innovation, and we are grateful to our regional and global partners for their continued support.

The full results of our REF2021 performance can be found here
